Trail of Tears

In this lesson students locate and research Library of Congress articles to learn about the plight of native Americans during the early 1800s.

After gathering information through answering specific guide questions, students extend their vocabulary by developing a crossword puzzle using and online tool. They also write a diary entry and an essay on the experiences of the individuals of the Trail of Tears.
