This exhibit tells the story of World War I & II and the changes it generated from the point-of-view of those who experienced the conflict. It also depicts these changes in a community and regional context, allowing its effects in western North Carolina to be better appreciated, articulated and understood. Relating how these changes have shaped the lives of people in western North Carolina, this exhibit allows those who came “After the War” to have the opportunity to learn and reflect on what this experience meant for western North Carolina.
